@sentientdessert Absolutley. If it does not have value to you, then it's just something cluttering up a box.

@altucker My dog has been wandering in and out with our cats all day.

So far so good. No roving lunch gangs.

@MLClark I have found that some of the most annoying of cliches are the ones so true they've been repeated to the point of becoming memes.

I am reminded of the story of the Two wolves. Which one wins? The one you feed.

At the end of the day no one is wholly good or evil. They are their choices at that moment. Enough choices over a historical period establish a trend, but we are the sum of our deeds, and that needle is ever in motion.

@Lindy I wouldn't trust that man with a pez dispenser, much less a child or a cat.

After 5 years of regular support my biggest patron reached out to me today to tell me they had hit hard times and can't help me out each month anymore.

I'm worried for them and have offered whatever help I can.

With their loss goes the majority of what I make in a year, which was never much, but it does take pressure off the "house finances""

@tgraph52 So the Syrian Civil War is getting hot, Israel and Palestine are in a state of open warfare, and Ukraine and Russia are in a state of open warfare. Europe is under threat. Taiwan is under threat. We have multiple national crises on blast here... but lets talk about a few folks hunting gesse.

What the heck GOP? Maybe this wouldn't happen if we had more robust social systems in place? IDK.

I do not understand the political realities of this edlritch year.

@MLClark I've been coming to a point where I am embracing concepts like non-dualism and equanamity.

For years I have struggled with the idea that there is no true way to apologize. "Take a stick, break it, throw it in the woods, now apologize. What changed?"

That has haunted me, but I've learned that while there is no fixing a lost moment, or a past error, I can choose to do the best I can, now. Its who we choose to be now, that sets the tone for tomorrow. We can always change course.

I am truly not feeling up to do my run today. I've got that burned feeling that tells me pushing hard would be a mistake.

I'm going to try walking on the treadmill a while and keeping to an active recovery day instead.

@janallmac I know from experience that hate is baggage and destructive. It will eat a person's soul in time.

That said, it's not up to me to judge where a person is at or the choices they make. It's up to me to love that person, and try to be present in the hopes of them rising above the things that are tearing them down. Hate is not my choice, but when it is someone's choice that means something has gone terribly wrong.

Ok, no more procrastination. It's time to meditate and then head to the gym.

Onward, toward the dawn! Back in a bit!

Every now and again someone stars my post in a conversation and I suddenly remember that starring posts is a thing so I scramble and go on a Star Spree.

So if you ever see 5 or 6 rapid fire notifications in your feed from me, that's probably what's going on.

My life often consists of a strange kind of myopic hyperfocus, and then I remember something was there from before and then... "Oh, right, that's a thing!"
