Work today was just bonkers and I am still trying to unpack it all so I can show up tomorrow with a game face and not the rage-quit face.

Patients spewing toxic politics, patients spitting on, hitting, and biting nursing staff, visitors asking for info I couldn’t provide even if they were torturing me for it because I JUST DON’T HAVE ACCESS TO IT, visitors pretending to be a SI patient’s psychiatrist to try to convince RN they don’t need pink slip…

Trying not to feel hurt tonight because life is too short for grudges. But today my grandfather (96yo) attended the wedding of my second cousin’s kid.

But he didn’t make it to mine in 2016 or my brother’s last October… citing both were too far to travel.

Trying so hard to not be pissed. Not succeeding.

Every year I tell myself that I will buy myself a larger capacity waffle maker for my birthday, Mother’s Day, Christmas, whatever. And do I? No.

It’s almost like I enjoy standing in the kitchen making four inch waffles one at a time for literally an hour and three minutes. 😜

Wearing my wrist splint again because tendinitis and/or carpal tunnel. But every time I look at it, I feel like it’s mocking me. Every time I just hear a sarcastic voice saying, “Nice going, Ace.”
