Sundays in the hospital are the actual worst. Staffing blows. No one has any ducks to give or spare. Impossible to get a hold of anyone in a timely manner. The cafeteria is closed, save for the premade stuff. Panera is highway robbery. And all the visitors are here to tell you how dissatisfied they are about everything. Alarm fatigue is reinforced the most on Sundays. #healthcareworkers #inpatient

I read mostly fiction to escape the nonfiction horror for a little while. But the nonfiction horror is presently making me so stressed that I can’t settle in comfortably to the sweet merciful and momentary escape of the fiction. 😣 I just want to read.

I know that good and evil aren’t always especially obvious in some storytelling, but it really does feel like half of the country would be like, “Yeah you know that witch who built her house out of food that two homeless, starving children happened upon in the woods had a lot of really good points. That’s the kind of good godly leadership we need.”
