Took me a while to figure it out. Then one time I was pulling an all nighter and got up to wash my face at 3:34 or 3:35 am to stay awake.

Of course the guy who wrote it may have been up all night for something other than a term paper …

I seem to remember once upon a time fridge door hinges were designed to slowly swing closed if not held open.

Maybe that was before they were trying to sell IoT refrigerators that text you when the door is left open.

@misslovelymess
Depends how you define classes. The US effectively has a “professional class” of people who define themselves by their education and who tend to prefer to socialize with one another. It includes doctors and lawyers and engineers, but also nurses and elementary school teachers, more achievable careers for 1st generation college students.

Unfortunately, skilled trades seem to get left out, probably because there’s so much tracking in high school between “college prep” and “shop”

And it benefits the insurer to pay more slowly, as they are investing that money. So they make it hard to know what diagnoses are accepted, requiring billers to re-code and resubmit bills without any guidance. It can be very illogical - like, they may require a very specific diagnosis for the office visit, but only pay for the non-specific code for the lab ordered during that visit.

@grrlscientist
In theory, it should not be a problem. The insurer simply provides services the payor contracts for. But in the upside-down world of US medicine, the people contracting for the coverage, the people paying for the insurance, the people ordering the procedure, the people performing the procedure, the people billing for the procedure, the people receiving the procedure, and the people approving the claims are all different people.

@1Firewire
I’d give them “details.” Vivid details. The team should leave phone messages at the DeSantis campaign offices every time he opens a new one

@VenomousHeroine
Teaching them to calm down and then ask permission to come out when they’ve done so works fine. Time out should be teaching them the adult skill of getting emotions and behavior under their control, not merely teaching them to bow to the commands of authority.

@Jeber
A lot of app creators lose interest in maintaining things

@Spagesgallo1 @LnzyHou
“Protective custody” generally means solitary confinement in a cell the last occupant may have smeared with feces as he raved in madness. It’s pretty sucky, too.

My favorite painting is called ‘Distant Thunder’ by Andrew Wyeth.

I love the relaxed feeling, lying in the grass, daydreaming, with a book, dog, coffee and sunshine.
It has a Sunday vibe… 🌞

She probably has the same apprehensions. Make advance plans of some activities together and some apart, so the ones together will be something you can both look forward to.

Female security staff have an advantage in no one expecting them to be bodyguards. Conspirators may talk right in front of them like they’re furniture

@PRPLDRAGON
I didn’t know about those. I know it can’t be used for state public transit, even though everyone on a bus takes a car off the road so there’s less need to widen them

@Rickbflony
Not like they can live in the airport parking lot, though

@Kimmycott @Oma_Trisha
Don’t wait to get the bivalent booster, for sure. It just has to be two months since your previous booster. (Obviously, it is, since they were removed from the market when the bivalent became available.) You aren’t required to wait to get the booster if you get COVID, once you are off isolation, though some people do wait to stretch out the protection longer.
