And my depression is back ๐คฎ
.
1st it was my E &T levels, which hopefully my doctor can help with
Then the fact that my kids are struggling with me being trans. They like the "pink" lipstick because it doesn't look like I have anything on, according to my ex, which gets interpreted as they don't like it when I dress as myself
Then my ex crying about how much I've changed & how much I hurt her ๐
Then the massive weight gain cuz of the depression ๐ Such a crappy circle
Sorry for the vent ๐
@voltronic I certainly do appreciate that
@MarvelousMadi13 Madi, baby. I've been there. It's never easy but try to talk to the kids and get their true view
@Graci it seems there view is different when they talk to me vs their mother, which makes it hard.
@MarvelousMadi13 No uncommon. They want to please the parent they're with. Less friction. KWIM?
However, who tells you what they say when they're with your ex. Is it your ex? Could that be exaggerated or false?
@Graci she claims it what they say, but I don't know for sure.
@MarvelousMadi13 I figured as much. It's filtered through her hurt/anger. My guess is it is just an exaggeration of something they said. Something that was minor. I've heard the same thing from many people over the years. In my case the kids were too young to have this issue.
@Graci I hope so
@MarvelousMadi13 we're here to listen ๐ค๐ซ
@Kaysymmetry I appreciate that!!!!
I'm so sorry your ex is making you responsible for the emotions she needs to process. She's an adult. You being yourself isn't something it's OK to blame you for.
The kids are another matter--but since your ex is not really processing your transition, don't take her word on how the kids feel. Maybe they just like the pink lipstick!
@tyghebright I'm hoping with time things get easier. Way back when I first introduced the kids to the real me, my oldest liked the pink because it wasn't as scary as the dark red. It's so tough to know how my kids actually feel
@MarvelousMadi13 Damn, Madi! I'm sorry you're going through that. I hope things improve soon for you.
@stueytheround Thanks Stuey
@MarvelousMadi13
Vent away. There are people here to listen.
