WOMEN VOTE V2
ON this date in 1915 - The Boyz started frantically packing their stuff up in a NY flophouse when they saw a large group of women gather outside their dwelling.
Bun Man halted Mr. Purple from leaping out the backdoor window just in the nick of time when it was determined les femmes were after a more noble purpose than fleecing the men.

ON this date in 1915 - Approximately 25,000 women demanded the right to vote with a march in New York City, NY.
During the march, covered by NY Times cub reporters, Bun Man and Mr. Purple, several women took their bras off as their marching was chafing their breasts.
Bun reported the women were 'SAVING THEIR TA-TA'S' and it was the 1st recorded utterance of this saying in history.
In fact, Mr. Purple would open his raincoat to allow women some privacy for the bra removal...how gallant!
Years later, Bun Man and Mr. Purple, famous Hollywood producers, would buy the rights to the movie and have the incredibly good sense to cast Julie Christie in the role of Laura.
At the time, Bun Man told Mr. P, "We're good, you put Julie Christie into any movie, and it will be a hit."
The Boy was right, Christie...what a knockout!

World Series Matchup
The New York Yankees are facing off against the Los Angeles Dodgers this week for the 2024 World Series title. The matchup revitalizes one of baseball's biggest historical rivalries; the two teams—both with roots in New York—have faced off in the championship series a record 11 times since the 1940s, most recently in 1981.

CAN-CAN OR DO THE DO?
ON this date in 1858 - The Can-Can was performed for the first time in Paris...
Right you are, Bun and Purple were front and center in the audience.
Actually, the name was not known but when the Boys saw the lasses w/ those high-kickin' legs continue to shoot up to the sky, they turned to each other and said "She CAN-CAN"...
The Name just kinda stuck after that...
Bun would later ask "Do she do the do?"
Later...SHE DO.
And you know why, why you and I...
ON this date in 1958 - Buddy Holly recorded his last studio session.
Holly and the Crickets recorded "True Love Ways," "Moondreams," "It Doesn't Matter Anymore," and "Raining in my Heart."
Co-Producers Bun Man and Mr. Purple were so proud of their work in this session and signed on for more w/ Holly & the Crickets.
It was short-lived as this artist would die early in '59.
Bun said Buddy was the single most influential force in early rock & roll.
ON this date in 1918 - Margaret Owen set a typing speed record of 170 words per minute on a manual typewriter.
When Bun Man heard this, he immediately became infatuated w/ Margaret (Fast Finger Peggy as he called her).
Mr. Purple and I could never figure it out as Bun had never even seen Margaret or knew whether she was taller than him or not.
