ON this date in 1858 - The Can-Can was performed for the first time in Paris...

Actually, the name was not known but when the Boys saw the lasses w/ those high-kickin' legs continue to shoot up to the sky, they turned to each other and said "She CAN-CAN"...

The Name just kinda stuck after that...
