ON this date in 1960 - Connie Francis begins working on the film "Where the Boys Are."

Bun Man and Mr. Purple had bit parts in the film after being beaten out for the lead by George Hamilton (a great tan does have value), but the Boyz did have some great fun w/ Paula Prentiss and Yvette Mimieux, not to mention that one evening in that seedy motel w/ Con-Con.

ON this date in 1953 - It was announced by the Soviet Union that they had detonated a hydrogen bomb.

Bun Man and Mr. Purple, cub NY Times reporters at the time, actually uncovered the real story.

The bomb turned out to be leftover 'gas' from Stalin after he died in March of that year--his stench was still repugnant.

True to form and as a presage to the 21st Century, the American Civil War continued in the Halls of Congress who in a very short period of time decided to impeach Johnson.

Could we all just agree that Congress should be fighting threats to our nation, not who has control or who gets blamed for stuff...
