128 Grazer ROCKING THE HOUSE

Mama Bear Retains Crown

A mother bear known as 128 "Grazer" won this year's Fat Bear Week competition, her second consecutive win. The annual popularity contest, launched in 2014, promotes conservation efforts at Alaska's Katmai National Park, home to an estimated 2,200 brown bears.

Another fraternity brother passed away yesterday.

Was in college for undergraduate work from 1968 to 1972, arguably the best years in US history to be learning and totally irresponsible for life.

Feeling very fortunate and blessed to still be kickin' around.

TUX V2

ON this date in 1886 - The tuxedo dinner jacket made its U.S. debut in New York City.

Bun Man and Mr. Purple showed up at the Knickerbocker Club resplendent in their fine threads and the ladies, well let's just say, the ladies didn't admire from afar!

There is something to be said about a well-dressed man.

Bun would later say "I dress for men; I undress for women."

Angie Dickinson would steal this line some years later for Dressed to Kill.

ON this date in 1965 - Charles Schultz, inspired by the tales of WWI Aces Bun Man and Mr. Purple, sought to capture those heroics and magic by modeling a new character of them.

Thus, the Red Baron made his first appearance in the "Peanuts" comic strip.

For years the Boyz would fight over who really was the inspiration.

Continuing with the COSO series on Husband Training...THIS FROM 2012

HUSBAND 101...Marry a woman who not only is your best friend but also someone who understands forgiveness--like when you bring home a 1981 Vespa Piaggio P200e which you won on eBay and she says, "It's cool, enjoy it."

Those other words the Mikster said were unprintable and certainly not appropriate for the COSOverse...

ON this date in 2003 - Rush Limbaugh announced that he was addicted to painkillers and that he was going to check into a rehab center.

Bun Man and Mr. Purple were in the same center (for entirely different reasons) and noticed how often Rush talked to himself during his stay there.

The ramblings were laughable, but apparently play well on Talk Radio and on Fox...

Apparently, if you want to hear that crap and it matches your bias, you buy it!

Bun Man was dumbfounded; all he could do was mutter something unintelligible...

Mr. Purple covered for him by telling the lass "The Boy is prone to fits..."

In the 1880s, that was enough to stop even the most ardent femme.

2/2

ON this date in 1886 - The tuxedo dinner jacket made its U.S. debut in New York City.

Bun Man and Mr. Purple, local bon Vivantes, wore their spiffy attire to the New York Astoria Hotel to get some Porterhouse Steaks.

While there, one of the local lassies came up to Bun Man and uttered the now infamous line "Are you smokin' in that jacket or are you just happy to see me?"

@Rocker

I knew there was something missing in my retirement planning.

I've been napping without the use of a professional nap planner.

Might you have a sloth I might borrow for a spell?

Compacted morning prayer...

Dear good God, thanks for this day, listen to my wife. Amen...

It's working

PROTECTION AIN'T THE SAME FOR EVERYONE

Ken-Dogger: What do you want Cato?
Cato: Oh snap, I forgot that’s a signal to you…
KD: Well yeah, I worked in schools.
C: Okay, so how’s the robbing going?
KD: Robbing?
C: Well, every time you go into a store, you are masking up…just thought it was a stick up
KD: Oh, no, just masking to protect others…
C: I think Jesse James said the same thing…
KD: That was different…
C: Guess protection isn’t the same to everyone
KD: Apparently not.

Morning Peeps,

There's an equal part of good and bad, just know where to stop your story.

Historybook: United States Naval Academy opens (1845); American actress Helen Hayes born (1900); Filmmaker Orson Welles dies (1985); Hijacking of the Achille Lauro cruise ship ends (1985); "Superman" actor Christopher Reeve dies (2004).

"If you want a happy ending, that depends, of course, on where you stop your story."

- Orson Welles

Just so you know...

Jardiance is really swell, the little pill with the big story to tell.

Milton is going to bring another Paradise Lost to FLA...

As Luckovich appropriately depicts...

THIS ELECTION IS OF WOMEN, BY WOMEN, AND FOR WOMEN...

Women will lead us out of this US misery.
