Is it strange that I'm WAY LESS worried about my surgery than my wife, family and friends are?

@LowEndMuse I feel confident about whatever procedure I need because I was in with the surgeon when explained. Others worry because it is a helpless feeling that you are having surgery. Good luck with your operation and a speedy recovery.

I'm always less worried than my loved ones. Or, maybe, I'm differently worried...?
When it's you who have decided to have the surgery (assuming there was some choice), you have some control there. Largely, your family is along for the ride, and having no control makes people more nervous.
