Is it strange that I'm WAY LESS worried about my surgery than my wife, family and friends are?

I'm always less worried than my loved ones. Or, maybe, I'm differently worried...?

When it's you who have decided to have the surgery (assuming there was some choice), you have some control there. Largely, your family is along for the ride, and having no control makes people more nervous.
