A very good sign. For your health & sanity, climb out of the hellscape. When these big accounts leave, it’s a message to all wavering.

Bill Kristol: You know who really hated Churchill, precisely when he and Britain stood alone in 1940 and 1941 against Nazi German? The America First Committee. What did Donald Trump chose to call his foreign policy? America First.

KFC has apologised after sending a promotional message to customers in Germany, urging them to commemorate Kristallnacht with cheesy chicken.

The Nazi-led series of attacks in the country in 1938 left more than 90 people dead, and destroyed Jewish-owned businesses and places of worship.

It is widely seen as the beginning of the Holocaust.

The message, heavily criticised for its insensitivity, was later blamed on "an error in our system".

U.S. District Judge Dana Christensen issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Andrew Anglin, founder and operator of The Daily Stormer website.

Attorneys for Montana real estate agent Tanya Gersh have said Anglin did not pay any portion of the August 2019 judgment and has ignored their requests for information about his whereabouts, his operation of the website and other assets.

One of the things I'm hoping to find on is a more measured look at extremism.

Twitter had a tendency to get really manic (civil war is going to break out any minute now and we're all going to die) when it came to the opposite political side while playing ostrich when it came to violent extremism perpetrated by the extreme end of one's own political side.

Bad people are bad people. Calling them out on violent acts and threats should be universal.

My grandfather did recon photography in WW2. My grandmother's brothers were on the ground in Europe. They taught me that bigotry invites tyranny. That diversity is necessary because weakness is magnified when everyone is the same since no one is perfect.

They had misguided views, but they also hoped my generation would do better. They didn't want us to settle for what they gave us. They wanted us to show gratitude by making it even better.

Tomorrow is Veterans Day here in the US & though my mom is a vet & my dad was, the day has a different significance for me.

In 2012, I said goodbye to my Curio. She had been with me from the age of 25 to 42, thru my marriage & into single life. Even though she talked, A LOT, we never talked much. We just knew. Her kidneys began to fail that summer & I remember telling her, “You just let me know when you need to go.” And the night before she looked at me, and I knew. ♥️💔

@Jim_Marbury Have to go occasionally to pay my respects at my father's grave

@kel right. The cascading effect of death spirals cannot simply be halted in their tracks. I think the Eli Lilly tweet sealed it.

Over on the bird site, the worst I got trolled in the last year was when I unfollowed and muted a woman for spamming a thread about covid with lies about the supposed dangers of the covid vaccine. She took umbrage and sicked all her followers on me. I guess it got worse after I blocked her, but I'm uncertain about that because I blocked all her followers as well.

No one is harmed by a mute or even a block. It's not like burning crosses on someone's lawn. It's just me saying that I'm tired.

It's Saturday so I'm going to start a Proof Of Cat thread.

Pictures, or you don't have a cat.

This is Anchovy aka Ancho aka Cho aka Soap Eating Boob.
