Tomorrow is Veterans Day here in the US & though my mom is a vet & my dad was, the day has a different significance for me.
In 2012, I said goodbye to my Curio. She had been with me from the age of 25 to 42, thru my marriage & into single life. Even though she talked, A LOT, we never talked much. We just knew. Her kidneys began to fail that summer & I remember telling her, “You just let me know when you need to go.” And the night before she looked at me, and I knew. ♥️💔

@Prophesy I’ve lost one too many feline companions and, like with my dad’s passing 25 yrs ago, most days I look back fondly & feel their love. And then there are times when my life is in an upheaval, such as it is now, when I deeply miss them all.
