@kel I assume we're talking about the Freedom Caucus GOP?
No, their careers will be just fine because the idiots around me will continue to vote for them.
They believe Biden has spies planted in Southern Churches. They hate America as it is and want a Christian theocracy. The voters around me want the nation to go down in flames.
Then they'll win. Ashes. They'll win ashes. And Blame Biden for it.

@mcfate #randomthoughts I pick up most of my groceries rather than going on. This is the first time I've been sick (even from a cold) for a couple of years.
I still have masks. If I go to the doctor's office or anywhere I have to sit in close proximity to people who may be sick I wear one.
The nurse in our writing group always wears a mask to protect the rest of us. We still have extra space allocated from the group members to sit at a distance.
@ProjectShadow #randomthoughts This hit me so hard I missed a deadline.
Usually when ill I'm still up and moving because I get stiff and sore in bed. This time I was sleeping beauty and she who makes offerings to the porcelain god.
I'm still not back to normal. I feel better sticking to clear liquids after several days. Maybe tomorrow I'll move to soft foods.
Apparently not Ukraine or they'd have done a better job of it.
That said, it's about time.
I'm such a hermit I wonder how on earth I picked up a stomach bug that laid me low for days.
Stuff is still out there, folks. Not just Covid.
@MMH #politics #voting I live in a non-voting state (Texas) and while a lot is said here about voter suppression, in reality, the problem is non-voting. I'm glad that in some areas young folks are starting to vote. I have found that (locally) the only young folks who vote are Trump voters. 😱
I keep thinking that as things get worse and worse they will vote. So far, I am seeing apathy. Very sad.
@Charles_Hawtrey he attacked one of their own. #politics
@MMH #politics he can tell them to pound sand when he can figure out how to create a successful 14th Amendment intervention in 24 hours.
You know who owns this garbage, right?
All the non-voters. All the voters who voted against their interest. Etc. I spent close to a year trying to convince college students to register and vote and (except for the Trump supporters) they all believed their vote didn't count.
Why it is I can easily turn out 5k words a day when I get in the flow and then spend half a day tearing my hair out writing (1) a 2 sentence log line (2) 160 words for the back cover and (3) a 200 word blurb?
I'm thankful I picked up a lot of ideas from the professional from the UK I hired for my last book.
I don't have a problem with compression, it's the jazzy marketing. I didn't do well in marketing class in webmaster school.
@Say_what_now since you're off grid I get it. Where I am in E. Texas the weather is no longer chilly at night. I use fans rather than AC as much of the summer as possible. I do have an AC option as well as heat in the cool weather.
Hope you enjoy the coffee when it's warm enough for you to be up and around. :)
Take care and be well.
I saw an announcement on this company in a forum for women agents, authors, editors and publishers.
This is a newish TRADITIONAL publishing company who is accepting submissions for diverse (GBLTQ+) material.
Just passing it along for those who write in these genres
@Priestess there are a lot more stupid people today than there were when the Republicans got owned by Obama.
It’s not just the uneducated that have been taken in by this.
There are people in my family with advanced degrees, who are absolutely sucked into all the QAnon conspiracy stuff and practically worship these guys on an altar.
Just because you’re educated, doesn’t mean you’re not stupid. I met a lot of stupid people in law school. #randomthoughts
@JoyfullyDazed #writingcommunty
I've pretty much given up on paperbacks. All my reference books are in paperback or hardback. But all my general reading is in ebook format. It's less expensive, easier to carry, has a backlight for reading in bed at night, and I can look words up if I don't understand them. I find print books don't have that feature. ;)
When I left the country for a year, it was me and my Paperwhite.
#randomthoughts I should be writing. Instead, I'm posting. I look in often, but post infrequently.
Recently ordered a beside table I thought would come in chunks that looks like it came from IKEA. 😱 My power drill died so I had to go get a new one. 😩
Flummoxed by putting an oscillating floor fan together. Aha! Needs a monkey wrench. Got one
I still need to revise on the chapter.
Maybe I'll take a nap. 😜
@JoyfullyDazed #writingcommunity long before the ease of e-books, I always had a paperback or two with me. I read them while waiting outside courtrooms, in doctor's waiting rooms, at home, basically everywhere I had a few minutes.
There's another quote by JRR Martin that a person who reads books can have a thousand lives, while those who don't, have but one.
