We had a little rain earlier today. At present the wind is so bad we took the holiday decorations into the house to keep them from becoming small metal missiles.

It's -2° windchill. Going to be a flash freeze tonight.

My biggest concern was an emergency dog rescue. Had my vet on standby in case we were the ones who got them. We weren't, so someone else's vet is evaluating two traumatized, skinny, freezing, dogs.

Fingers crossed for people and critters.

@YesThatStevenGrant Yes they do. When I worked in child protection, we frequently worked with the police and I watched people lose their shit and act stupid all the time.

Not everybody watches police procedurals on television. Get a hold of somebody who believes they are a sovereign citizen and see what happens.

A big guy hit a small woman in a group today. I saw it. Confronted him and he denied it and then he got mad and he said he’s just an extrovert.

Meanwhile an attendee literally popped the presenter on the head in our writing class today. I'm in the process of banning him from the writers club FB page and in person. Which is where the "metaphorical" ass kicking came from.

I have been sober for over 40 years and when my daughter was in your daughter’s place, she told me I don’t understand because my addiction was “just alcohol”. I was incredibly fortunate to have a very high bottom.

But she finally got clean after a fentanyl overdose. It was a miracle they got her heart started again. She celebrated seven years clean and sober.

I hope for the holiday season your daughter is able to get clean and stay there.
