Now that I'm sturdily middle-aged they seem too young to me.

I'm 50 years old, I'm not a girl anymore. The SO is 55, he's not a boy. We're adults. There's gotta be a better term to use.

I always feel really weird about using the words "boyfriend" & "girlfriend".

Not because I find them objectionable in any particular way, they just feel like terms that fit better when I was in my teens & 20s.

We got a light dusting of snow here, nothing significant. Roads are bare & wet. It's cold tho', about 28F right now - unusual for this area.

I don't know whether to be excited or terrified. Maybe both.

I seriously have no idea if I'll even quality for anything that could get me into a house. Housing is SO expensive here it's ridiculous.

We were supposed to get a bunch of snow last night. As I suspected, nothing. It's pouring down rain, but no snow.

There's a Winter Storm Warning in effect for the area. We're supposed to get a bunch of snow dumped on us tonight.

I'm not convinced it'll actually happen. This is Puget Sound, snow here is... meh.

Just popped into the bird site briefly, out of curiosity. MTG & Bobo are fighting, that's the only thing interesting. Otherwise it's still a rancid toxic hellscape.

@RationalLeft Thinking of McCarthy & Greene, I wonder if there is/will be a permanent schism in the GOP. Sometimes it feels like they're splitting, sometimes not.
