@ashertheowl the last city crippling storm was the one almost 8 years ago to the day.
Same type storm, same areas hit - always the southtowns.

The best (and worst) thing about #Twitter was that a common person could have the same reach as a billionaire.

@kbsez @Absinthe the ironic part is that these were jobs traditionally held by people coming in from the southern border.
It sucked that the immigrants were exploited.
Now some of the same people who were comparing about immigrants taking "American" jobs and "no one wanting to work" are sending their kids to work in horrid conditions.

On the birbsite, someone is talking about learning how to swim. It reminded me of this commercial from back when I was still in the Corps and everyone would remind me of it.
During swim quals, the instructors would always go about the whole "anyone can float" spiel.
We'd do float drills and then my secret would come out. My "natural" floating point they kept going on about, was almost 2 feet below the surface. Cue the instructors all coming over in amazement. 😑

Funny, how some folks think you can't develop deep friendships with folks online.
I met one of my dearest friends in a Navy Mom chat room when youngest was in bootcamp. She lives in Maryland. We may not talk all the time, but we pick up like no time has passed at all.
Value the friendships you make here (or wherever), and hold them close. CoSo is that for me, and I'm grateful every day.

They are so excited about the whole campaign and to be fair they are all doing a great job roleplaying the characters. Just you know, didn't realize they thought this campaign was a game of Munchkin. 😂

Our wizard is a great person irl, but in D&D she jumps to conclusions.
Example: earlier in the week I wanted to cast detect magic to see if there are any -
Her - I wanna see if there are any spell scrolls
DM - you know he's casting detect magic right? Well you said it.
They got into a fight - who was going to get to take what out of the wizard's possessions while the wizard was still alive AND IN THE NEXT ROOM. They were confused when we got jumped by a very angry wizard.(2/2)
My D&D party has 3 first time players and me, and it is the most dysfunctional god damn thing I have ever witnessed
One guy is all about just murdering everyone in cold blood and then gets upset when we are like yeah let's redo your starter character cause you aren't lawful neutral
One guy is a ranger who hates beasts
