Alright. My Labor on labor day. A few scattered clouds and doing most my work sitting in a chair under an umbrella 🏖️ helped me not expire from heat exhaustion. Now I have 2 more 45° braces to fit, some long timber-loks to secure them, and the 2 sides are ready to raise tomorrow. Alright. After a week of trying to figure out how to get a permit and finding that it was going to cost me 2x $ the materials, and probably weeks if not more, I'm just going to build it.

A couple of weeks ago someone from the government had reported how the permit process here was so complicated and expensive that half of the buildings on the island are built without permits, leading to problems after hurricanes and earthquakes. I'm just going to lean into that. Ask for forgiveness right?

There's always that moment standing in the corner of the kitchen to make #coffee. Trying to put together four steps that it takes to do it in the right order. Put water in the kettle. Push the button. Put coffee in the press. Pour water.
