The odd thing is everybody's taking it in stride. They're used to this kind of thing. They've been treated like crap for 500 years by the Spanish and the Americans.

They're helping each other out. I'm doing what I can to support my neighbors. Sharing coffee, meals, and battery power for phones. Stores are open that have generators. And cash is king. Very little cell-service. Have been able to text but no data.

Evening all. Looks I have got 5G connection briefly so wanted to connect after a few days of being out of touch due to hurricane Fiona. The entire island of Puerto Rico is without electricity. Perhaps 100,000 customers have been reconnected. Trees are down everywhere. Mudslides are severe because of previous rains. Residents are saying it's worse than Maria. There's no electricity and there's no clean water in pipes anywhere on the island.

Other than that, how's your day been?

Fiona; In the midnight hour, hurricane status, SW Puerto Rico: calm still to light breezes. Occ short, light, showers. On hurricane watch under the new pergola, finished today. Weed, wine, and wind on order.

It's a beautiful night and Fiona is taking her time getting here.

I heard there is a drag queen in Florida goes by the name of Rhonda Santis. 🙂

Got the roof metal screwed off and hurricane wires set today, just in time for Fiona to arrive mid-day tomorrow. Need to add a ridge cap and tidy up in the morning. After the storm I'll trim back the gables to fit the metal and re-set the gable rafters for a tight, clean edge.

Trimmed and set rafters and got lath up yesterday and the day before. Hauled up half the tin today. Got an alignment on the truck.Spent time with friends at their poolside and had dinner with them and others. Good day.

Good morning CoSonauts. 🌞 Having some #coffee ☕ issues. Not quite hitting on all cylinders yet. Walked across the room with cup in hand heading for refill and got lost in the fog for a minute. 😴Then saw the cup I set down on the counter across from the coffee. A few seconds later my mission came back in to focus. 🤣

So, I just clicked the link someone provided to the CoSo Network Ops page on my Android phone CoSo app...and now I'm stuck there. Can't find a way to 'go back' and of course there's no ESC button.

WTF. Not even high, yet. Why do I even bother setting a timer for 7 minutes and then adding cold water to stop the cooking of the noodles in the soup and then decide it's time to walk upstairs and haul some more lumber up to the roof and enjoy the sunset and sitting on the wet boards and reading coso before realizing I didn't turn off the heat nor pull it from the heat so a half an hour later...
