Well yes, this is EXACTLY what we looked like in the 70’s. Long straight hair, bell bottom jeans, Huckapoo shirts, very 😎.

@matuzalem That's when I knew Elvis was dead for sure; he would have tried to stop the wedding.

As someone who had used electric and gas stoves, I prefer gas. It heats up quicker and cools down quicker. You can also adjust the heat faster with gas.

Electric stoves do have the advantage of being user-serviceable. A burner dies, yank it out and put in a new one. So there's that.

We have an electric cooktop now, but I'd like to replace it with a gas one. But I can't afford the one I want. 🤷‍♀️

@Alt_Human Stick the RFID chip on a battery contact. It gets removed as part of the checkout process. (Just guessing, but something like that could work.)

@peeppeepcircus If you have a single/twin bed, grab the mattress, get in the bathtub, and hold the mattress on top of you. That's assuming you don't have a basement or other underground shelter. Water pipes make a bathroom the most reinforced place in the house.

My grandparents barely survived a tornado in the 60s. They evacuated in a car, but it was a close thing—the car was only making 10MPH with Grandpa flooring it. The only part of the house left standing was… you guessed it, the bathroom.

@Victor The locals here put cole slaw on their burgers and dogs. I can't judge though; I used to make peanut butter and horseradish sandwiches when I was a teen.

@JMHardin BAAAD, I spent a lot of last week chasing down broken water pipes.

@desbearado Look on the bright side: they can't start their sham "investigations" while they're huffing and puffing. It's interesting, that they haven't figured that out yet.

@Horrrflmlvr It would have been entertaining if they had thrown some punches!

@Maude I got some 100 proof rum for this one. And some gin for the wind-down.

People who feel the need to control others, don't have control over themselves.

@Lindy Great. I have the user guide open in another tab, now. I'm starting to wind down for the night (at least nominally), so I'll check it out tomorrow.
