All the kitchen tile has been removed! Hooray! French doors and in (they're wonderful) and I did some painting today (muh hands hurt!). Staples have been removed from the subflooring. Next weekend, we start laying down the laminate! Mr Evers is off work the first week of July, and hopes to have most of the flooring done by the time he goes back.

It's so satisfying to see all the progress!

I need someone to shoot me full of tranquilizers so I can just relax for a bit. I've been clenching my jaw so much, my face and head hurt.

Lots of loud noises and sounds of things being ripped out, are coming from downstairs...!

We've talked about doing these things since we bought the house 7 years ago. I always thought it'd never actually happen...so it seems a little surreal!

New French doors get installed, single door gets removed. It's going to look SO different downstairs by the end of the weekend! :D

The people that went down in the sub made a poor choice. They do NOT deserve to be made fun of over it. The memes are distasteful. They are most likely dead. They have families that are going to miss them terribly, and you asshats think it's hilarious.

How would you feel if a loved one was ridiculed and memed for the world to see, due to them making a poor choice, that resulted in their death?

Turned off my 5am alarm. Won't turn it back on until after Labor Day.

Husband is taking the first week of July off (like usual), but is also considering adding 1-2 more weeks to that, so we can just....get the house FINISHED!

Once the doors are done (Contractor work), we just have to finish the floors, install the new pellet stove then paint. After that it's just buying new furniture and decorations and we will be D O N E!!!!

Last day of school for the kiddos today! Then dentist appts tomorrow, Contractor comes to start work on Thursday, finish work on Friday, then this weekend is removing the last of the kitchen tile.

Just found out my neighbors, with the obnoxious aggressive dogs, the semi truck trailer parked in the yard, with all the broken down cars.....are splitting up and selling the house.

First Father's Day without Dad. I've been trying to not think about it. Just put it out of my mind. Difficult, when I have a husband I want to celebrate. :)

New French doors get installed Thursday. Also, the texturing for the wall where we removed the fireplace gets done, which then means I can finally paint that wall! Contractor is also going to build the front gate.

The house being in remodel limbo is making my brain itchy. I am not a neat freak by ANY means, but Holy Hell, having the house in disarray is REALLY impacting my mental health!

I cannot wait until we are done! (still a ways off though)

Daughter, my youngest, turns 16 on the 27th.

She is being picked up by a friend after school today...Its the first time she's gone off with a friend who has their license.

I'M FRICKIN NERVOUS!!! lol I 100% trust her friends parents and their judgement, so if they are cool with her driving, I trust that. But man.....STILL NERVOUS! lol

Thinking I need to set up an outdoor kennel for the dogs to sleep in.

Their current room, is directly below my 17y/o room. My Pomeranian starts barking at like 4am, everyday, and wakes him up. We've gone through several different bark collars, all of them work for a few weeks, then she gets used to them and they don't stop her barking anymore.

Not real sure what else to do, at this point. 😣

I just needed to vent my frustrations. I dont need, nor want, marriage advice from internet strangers, thanks. 😀

The other day, he was picking through the laundry, looking for his clothes, so he could do a load. Of only his clothes. He didn't have enough for a full load, I suggested he could wash some of my stuff too. He huffed and put 2 of my hoodies in. Then, pulls clothes out of the dryer, puts HIS away, and leaves mine in a pile on the bed. 😒🤨 Then has the fucking AUDACITY to ask why I'm mad. He isn't a stupid man, but holy fuck he's an idiot sometimes.

Need to vent/rant for a minute: My husband is a wonderful man, who refuses to turn on the exhaust fan when he showers. I've already scrubbed mold off the walls once. I've explained to him, extensively, that he needs to turn it on when he showers, cause "This is how we get mold." He still doesn't. I see it as a blatant disregard for the work I do around the house. He think I "Need to chill the fuck out." 🤨

I am irrationally irritated today. 😤
