Need to vent/rant for a minute: My husband is a wonderful man, who refuses to turn on the exhaust fan when he showers. I've already scrubbed mold off the walls once. I've explained to him, extensively, that he needs to turn it on when he showers, cause "This is how we get mold." He still doesn't. I see it as a blatant disregard for the work I do around the house. He think I "Need to chill the fuck out." 🤨
Sounds passive aggressive and petulant.
If you have another bathroom, let the mold grow. HE doesn't have a problem with it because he knows you'll clean it.
Also, wire the fan and light to a single switch. Unless he wants to shower in the dark, that fan will be on.
See, I'm passive/aggressive enough, that I would cook meals just for me & leave the pots/pans,plate & what not out that he cook his own. But, that's just me. I'm evil that way.
@Evereigh can I ask how long you have been married? If it's been a long time you've taught him how to treat you. If it's new relationship this is the time to tell him in no uncertain terms how you want to be treated.
@Evereigh our bathroom fan was seriously underpowered. I used to run a small dehumidifier in there a few hours daily because there’d be so much moisture on the walls! A few years ago, I used my Xmas money from my Mom to buy the most powerful vent fan I could find and I had it installed by a contractor who I also had install a timer switch for it. My hubby turns the fan on but never turns anything off (lights, fans etc)! It was the best Xmas gift to myself ever, has really helped the walls.
@AverageCitizen Mine is also notorious for leaving lights on! And the TV....ugh....He's always leaving the TV on when he leaves a room and is "done" watching! lol
@Evereigh same here! What’s bad is he bought these LED three blade lights, like 15000 lumens-super bright, for every fixture in his basement office (unfinished so just ceiling bare sockets) and twice a day I have to turn them off. Our power bill went up a LOT when he put those in, even though they’re LED. He put them in the garage too, which he also leaves on. 🤷♀️ I told him I was going to get a timer switch for his basement room! 😂

The other day, he was picking through the laundry, looking for his clothes, so he could do a load. Of only his clothes. He didn't have enough for a full load, I suggested he could wash some of my stuff too. He huffed and put 2 of my hoodies in. Then, pulls clothes out of the dryer, puts HIS away, and leaves mine in a pile on the bed. 😒🤨 Then has the fucking AUDACITY to ask why I'm mad. He isn't a stupid man, but holy fuck he's an idiot sometimes.
