I can't help but wonder, if Elon is tearing down Twitter on purpose.
Politics and his fucked up beliefs aside, he can't REALLY be that dumb, can he?
Some of the "decisions" he's made, whether implemented or not, just do NOT make sense. It's like he's purposely trying to kill Twitter.
Maybe my naivety is showing. *shrug*
@GaryPoole I don't think being rich has anything to do with brain power, but yes, the "Yes Men" IS a big thing with people that have money like he does.
@Evereigh I mean, you're probably not wrong.
Hellava tax write-off for losses
he's acting on impulse because he believes his own mind every time, instead of seeking advice from others, because ego ego ego. just like every other autocrat ever.
@holon42 Mmmmmm.....Yeah.. That....that makes sense. You put it into words better than I. He does give off a very "impulsive" vibe..
he's constantly jumping from one ridiculous idea to another. buying twitter in the first place was an impulse, one that he tried to get out of later.
now that he's MAGA the little control he once had has evaporated.
@holon42 Yeah, I feel like his "Imma buy Twitter" was just him swinging his dick (money) around, but they held him to it and he couldn't back out.
yup, he was finally held to consequences on that one. you'd think he'd have learned, eh? but nope, narcissists never learn that lesson.
I see a couple of things going on
1. People who succeed at running one thing- whether by skill or luck - too often assume that means they can run anything. They're wrong. Skill sets vary, even at the top
2. He has the maturity and impulse control of a 13 year old.
@BrazenlyLiberal Yea. 100% agree with both points!!
@Evereigh Yes, even insanely rich people can be *that* dumb, especially when they've surrounded themselves with people who are afraid/unwilling to speak truth to power.
