@teengee @Render Yeah he's a total dick. Treats his tesla employees like sh*t too. Brought the Fremont factory back online while CA and Alameda County still had mandates against reopening of plants that couldn't meet social distancing requirements. He got the county to cave after he'd already brought the employees back.
@duglop The job I lost to acquisition outsourcing 3 years ago was in mobile telecommunications. I have collections of old cell phones and pagers...which I repaired for customers or resale. Was just looking for a pic of the StarTak and saw what some of the phones I have are still selling for...holy crap!! Gotta start making them functional and list some of them! Can definitely use the income (and free space) π
@duglop That's actually a mid two thousands motorola..earlier models were even more "communicator" like...the 1996 Motorola StarTac was the first cell phone designed to look like you'd flip it open and instruct Scotty to "beam me up" π. It was extremely expensive as were the service plans for it. Back then the included minutes in any plan was intentionally low so they made huge $ on overages.
@Render Am sorry for the loss of your friend π
@WILDKATZ Well it appears the DOJ will likely have their own copies so at least McCarthy and his caucus of ill repute won't be able to alter them to suit their narrative.
@FreezyWriter Hope springs eternal. Even if he does get indicted he'll continue in congress until the time he's convicted (if he is) and he'll be replaced by another repugnican hand selected and appointed by DeSantis. π
@FreezyWriter That was a lighter sentence than he'd have received had he not cooperated by giving them dirt on Gaetz. Unfortunately I read some time ago that it was unlikely Gaetz would be indicted based on what they were told by Greenberg. So he gets a much lighter sentence and Gaetz walks away untouched. Really pays to have a wealthy father who's a former FL state senator that still wields a lot of power. π€¬
@corlin How amazing is that?? Looking forward to seeing the photos it takes!
@WILDKATZ @earthling_down_under Really? Wow, wasn't expecting that π Was just trying to explain in advance why some of my questions may seem a bit imbecilic.
@WILDKATZ @earthling_down_under Wow...that's a very significant difference percentage-wise. Are they doing primate studies?
@WILDKATZ @earthling_down_under Not boring in the least π Of course I struggle to dredge up biology & physiology classes I took for the nursing program I graduated from in 83..then again I struggle to remember when I last ate so there's that. Something about 6 strokes having permanently occluded a good portion of my MCA really messed me up. I'm very much enjoying the informative conversation π Hopefully I'll remember some of it for a while!
@WILDKATZ @earthling_down_under I'd not heard that a definitive cause had been established for alzheimer's or that it's preventable if diagnosed in the initial stages. Please do elaborate?? π
@sock I rarely go on the bird any more so am not sure if he's said anything about CoSo or not but did see him going off about his mastadon access being disabled/denied. He didn't have any kind things to say about that platform.
@DarksideStraxus Did you mean to say "obstruction" and auto-complete changed it to obstetrical? π
@FreezyWriter We can help you with that dearth of feline cohabitation π πΊ
@MsJudyJetson They probably happened in my sleep because until the TIA I'd never experienced paralysis. Symptoms actually began with narcolepsy, followed by the loss of a large amount of vocabulary (causing me to stammer as I struggled to remember the words I used to know), decreased short term memory, & some ADHD symptoms. Turns out a big part of my middle cerebral artery was/is blocked. Recouped most of my vocabulary but it's slipping again so having a new brain scan soon.
@BlueVoter24 I sure as hell hope so.
@BlueVoter24 The January 6th committee should have been seriously investigating Senators Graham, Cruz, Hawley, Johnson, and Lee, and Reps Boebert, Taylor, Gosar, Gohmert, Gaetz, Brooks, Biggs, Cawthorn, Perry, Jordan, Harris, Babin, Loudermilk, Hice, Jackson, and McCarthy! Now any who were found to be active in any of the multiple plots to overturn the vote of the people that won re-election in Nov should be banned from being sworn in and any Senators involved should be removed from the senate.
@BlueVoter24 I wish that any rep or senator that participated in DFG's attempts to defraud Americans whether by stoking dissention & violence in pre-6th or Jan 6th rallies, taking part in meetings in the "war room" hotel, contacting governors/SoS/state legislators in swing states to encourage illegal or unconstitutional acts to deny the voter's will to elect Biden, or tweeting Pelosi's location during the capitol attack, would be blocked from being sworn in for violating their prior sworn oaths!
