In the last two weeks I've had people who barely Google ask me what's going on with The Bird. I was trying to think of pop culture events that had such a cultural ripple. First one that came to mind:

This is The Magnificent Bastard in his favorite position, cutting off my circulation. I've had a lot of cats over the years, but he's the special one.
When I went to the cat shelter (cage free) after losing my boy Sumi, he ran across the room to jump in my lap. Cosmic Jr. made me leave to "think about it", the next night he did the same thing, but fixed me with a look of irritation at not taking him home the night before.
