To be fair, the man is clearly an idiot who doesn't understand how um... slanting stuff... works. Still, it must be laughed at - and you know it was by the supply folks. π€£
I did say they were clearly an idiot, but I'm honestly not sure that the super sleek Cybertruck has something as pedestrian as tie-down brackets as standard equipment.
@Cosmichomicide i dunno. i've jimmy rigged a lot of vehicles that didn't have tie down brackets. it's amazing what you can tie onto on a vehicle. π
i'm also canadian. we drive all kinds of things & take all kinds of loads in those vehicles. as long as the load is balanced, you can tie down anything w/ enough straps.
but as you say, if he's a an idiot....
If you ever go to Bermuda (or any number of other countries), where the scooter is still the dominant form of transportation, it's freaking amazing what people can (and do) haul about in all sorts of creative ways.
It's super sad the boi can't load and secure a theoretical truck when I've seen a family with groceries balancing through traffic on a moped.
@Cosmichomicide you know, i was thinking that as i posted my response to you. the developing world has ingenuity going for it, that's for damn sure. those scooters and moped carry families & 6 & their stuff.
@singlemaltgirl @Cosmichomicide I was thinking the same thing. I carry a few ropes and several straps plus an orange flag and bunnies cords. WTF?
@Cosmichomicide @singlemaltgirl I have a CRV too. They can be loaded up .
If it's stuff like a load of gravel or sand (or the recliner to the dump), I send Cosmic Jr with his Tacoma.
Pretty much the rest of the time, the CRV suffices. Or I can have it delivered. π
@Cosmichomicide Obviously the fact he has one of those hideous monstrosities gives you great insight into his IQ level. Stop expecting great things from small minds.π
Having loaded many a truck (and car!) successfully without dropping my load before I make it out of the parking space, I'm enjoying this as much as those videos of people backing their boats (sorta) down ramps and trucks going (almost) under low bridges.

@Cosmichomicide
Or how normal pickup trucks work, either.
I looked up why a cybertruck is considered a truck and not a SUV. Can't find the graphic now... but it showed how you have to load the thing and it was a real pain in the ass. Not like a truck where you toss everything in the back. There are three different places that you've got to load- can't reach into the back without crawling into it.
I'll just say that my 2008 Toyota Prius can easily carry full sheets of plywood and all kinds of other things without dumping them .
Yanno, I'm going to go with the simple question:
Is it really a truck if you can't toss a recliner in it to make a quick run to the dump without consulting the user's manual?
no, no it is not a truck if you can't toss a recliner in it to make a quick run to the dump without consulting the user's manual.
AND, no Real Truck would ever be that damn UGLY!
@Cosmichomicide Not as much as a ratchet strap in sight π€£π€£
@Cosmichomicide - plus he jest
stands there... scratchin' his ass!

I love the properly loaded and FLAGGED truck beside him.
Like you had an example, homefry!

@Cosmichomicide did the tailgate rip off too?
It really looks like it, but I'm not completely sure how those Frankentrucks are configured.
@Cosmichomicide did he not know how to use straps?
