@ChillySnowgirl The one on the left has Stargate vibes. 👍
@CaliZaybak All power to her. I loved when someone said Orange wouldn't touch her with a
long pole and she retorted 'no, he touched me with a three inch one'.
@hallmarc In fairness to the Trek Reddit and Discords, they're better at moderating that type of shit posting. It's all art: we can discuss the brush strokes, the method, creative choices, maybe have different constructive views. "That painting is so lame", "why would anyone think picasso is good" contributes nothing.
@Redskye572 Exactly. I get being passionate about a thing; healthy discussion, valid, constructive criticisms (the meal overcooked, the sauce had no flavour), but don't yuck someone else's yum in public.
@TheRuralProgressive It's the being triggered over the most banal, isolated stuff as well. Oh, and the dumbest questions: 'Why did he say galaxy not universe?', 'Could Vader have sued the Empire for his injuries?'.
Some of the Star Wars announcements weren't my yum, but I'm not meant to enjoy every dish on the menu or send it back before it's cooked. I had low expectations of Andor and ended up really enjoying it.... there's some Star Trek I've seen that I thought was dreadful and will never get a second rewatch; last thing I would think of doing is call bullshit on someone's enjoyment of it on a Discord or Reddit.
“Westworld” is gone from HBO Max. So too is “Gordita Chronicles.” And good luck finding “American Rust” on Showtime anymore.
It’s all part of a growing trend of streamers deleting their own shows from their libraries to cut costs.

Re my previous Adam's quote: it resonates with me because when I was in my 20's - 30's I loved geeking-out on new tech. At 44, I just can't be arsed. It's not that I don't understand it, or appreciate the rate of innovation, I just lack the enthusiasm or inclination of younger me to delve into ChatG-whatever, or AI. The older I'm getting, the more I just want 'real world' peace and quiet.
"I've come up with a set of rules that describe our reactions to technologies:
1. Anything that is in the world when you’re born is normal and ordinary and is just a natural part of the way the world works.
2. Anything that's invented between when you’re fifteen and thirty-five is new and exciting and revolutionary and you can probably get a career in it.
3. Anything invented after you're thirty-five is against the natural order of things."
-- Douglas Adams
Yeah, I really don't think it should be my job to do the troubleshooting, identifying port switch issues, come up with solutions to resolve the port switch issues for the network maintenance providers we actually pay to monitor troubleshoot, and identify port switch issues, to come up with the solutions, and to resolve the port switch issues. But, here I am, holding the wheels from falling the fuck off a city-wide dark fiber ring... 😮💨
I usually only watch the Indy 500 oval, but that Texas oval was a corker. 👍 #indycar
@catlynne333 I completely forgot you call indicators turn signals... RIP my bad pun. 🤭
