@nealfig
I have always been envious of the pure songcraft of that song. Every single piece of what's played matters. As a songwriter you dream of making music like that.

I ran across this on tumblr and suddenly I was reminded that K Mart was the home of the original "Blue Light Special". They actually had a Blue light on a pole, with a siren, that would appear somewhere in the store and for the next few minutes whatever was at where the blue light was would be on sale.

Nostalgia is like Heroin for Grownups.

@gshevlin Worst attempt at doing the zombie dance from Thriller I've yet seen.

Usually this stuff doesn't translate well when re-done as an American TV show, but for once they might have nailed it.

Have I Got News for You, hosted by Roy Wood Jr. on CNN of all things.

Watch to the end. Trust me.

Easily the strangest project I've ever been involved in. Not in terms of music, but in terms of an athiest producing and recording a bunch of rock/pop songs with a group of Celtic monks.

Pre-save now. First single out January 7th. Album out in February.

Gotta love how the new Netflix version of the Anime for Ranma 1/2 is keeping (so far) all the little one panel jokes from the original manga.

@Alfred given the events of the past 48 hours what are the odds that Trump cancels his Madison Square Garden ralley later this month?

I can't tell you if god has a sense of humor. But in a follow-up to a post of mine from a couple of days ago, I can report that Karma does.

This is entirely NOT what I meant by disaster.

Okay I didn't even know that this was a thing. Stiff upper lip drama done in Lego. Specifically, a Scene from Sharpe's Eagle - a period drama set in War-torn Spain as both England and France duke it out starring Sean Bean.

If you've seen it (it's from 1998 or so I think) you might enjoy this. And, stay for the comments which are full of terrible puns.

Finally watched this week's "Agatha All Along"and we finally got the big reveal of who the kid is.

I did NOT see that coming.

@th3j35t3r Ever been to their office in San Francisco? Musical instruments just out there for anyone to play.

When I was a little kid Steve Garvey was a local hero. Local Farm team boy makes good as a Dodger.

Not so much now. As I grew up I came to realize that he really an awful human being. He's gonna lose and lose big, but at least he can rest his laurels on his Hall of Fame career.

Oh wait...

Not sure I know how to feel about this one. Duran Duran, covering ELO's "Evil Woman".

They do put their own stamp on the song, but I found myself wanting to listen to the original immediately after.

They aint bad, but they're no ELO.
