@JV3MJD

Fellow guitarists, do you see what I see? Disregard the shellaquing and horrific art on the body and neck and the troll with the facepaint and look at the frets.

Those frets are FUCKED. UP.

@TK11612 Alas, he doesn't show up until season 2, but some of the groundwork is laid for his existence in season 1

@TK11612

The best stuff (IMHO) revolves around Walter Koenig's character of "Bester". In the end, he appears in more episodes of Babylon 5 than he did of TOS Star Trek.

@CinnamonGirlE First word I got was Flame. I figured I'd best stop there.

@TK11612 Season 1 only hints at the greatness to come. There will be a shakeup in the cast, and the lore will grow. The villians get better and the characters get some real development.

It really comes into its own in season 2 and beyond, but then there is a reference to an event in season one that the whole series revolves around.

It will get there. It's like watching a Wim Wenders film. For a long time you're wondering why you bought the ticket and then all of a sudden everything clicks.

I have never seen a larger collection of Rich White Guys failing upwards than what we're getting in this new administration.

i.e. the man who was just appointed CEO of Trump's accounting/auditing firm.

Despite this album cover, the band Semantics does not sound like a bad metal band or like Meat Loaf. I'd call them much closer to The Goo Goo Dolls.

It's a good album.

As promised, here is the blog version of Radio Free California Episode 2447. Has the same Spotify playlist, but also notes about my little private radio station and what we're playing this week. No cheap shots. I'm not in the mood anymore.

With the exception of one show, we play nothing but new music at Radio Free California, often from artists you've never heard of but certainly deserve more attention.

And here it is my friends, Radio Free California Episode 2447! New music this week from Linkini Park, Greet Death, The Youniverse, Semantica, Blackberry Smoke, Silverlites, Negative, Hana Lili, The Sixsters, Painted Vein, King Stingray, Du Blonde and much more. Enjoy!

As per usual, my blog version will be up later today.

Sometimes, it's more than one, but it is still from these 4.

@PoliticalEd I was never on board wiht Chester as a singer. As a screamer, sure. He was damned good at it. But a lot of his vocals were auto-tuned.

The new singer, Emily Armstrong, is a SINGER.

@kel

His name is Donald John Trump and you might as well say it - he's coming to try to kill you either way.

I was never really a fan of Linkin Park in their original heydey, when Chester was alive. I didn't find them offensive or anything, it just wasn't for me. Chester's death was a gut punch though.

But their new album, with their new singer, is pretty damned good. I especially like the song "Two Faced", which is the current single, but the whole album is worth the time.

I like this new incarnation of Linkin Park better than the old one.

Nurse, quick! I need a dose of Warner Brothers Cartoons, a Sugary Cereal and a non-diet soda for this patient!

STAT!

Happy B'day to CoSo!

I haven't been here for all 7 years, but I have been around long enough to get the golden checkmark. I've never regretted making the move.

Thanks to everyone for the support over the past few years, and thanks to @th3j35t3r for putting this place together.

2025 is going to suck, but it can also be amazing for those of us fighting against the tide.
