Here is the playlist from my first show in 1980 on UTR (University of Toronto Radio), which was closed-circuit, not air-broadcast, at the time. The original plan was to do a history of rock 'n' roll but it ended up with each show being unrelated to the others. Not sure why I didn't play Little Richard, while having so much Elvis!
The show was on September 30th and within 10 weeks John Lennon was dead, having been shot on Dec. 8th (the date in New York City).

You will notice that I post music, ideally live performances, of music artists, composers, etc., whose birthday it is. They are either significant music-related people, or ones that I particular like, or both. I might post only one, as an honourable mention, or up to 4 for a significant or favourite music-related person.

I was just reminded how great this song is ๐ŸŽธ๐ŸŽตโœจ

recommendation:
deservedly won Oscars for Best international feature film and Best sound. I saw it weeks before the Oscars (January) and was struck by the sound design. Unsettling. In general, it does depict the "banality of evil".
