I have always been grateful that people encouraged me to jump on this new thing and start pushin' buttons ( in a software way ). I'll always appreciate that. Keep itching, my friend. Why study something new, that's hard.
When the kid asks "Why should I study algebra I'm never gonna use it." The correct answer is yep. You're never done use it, but it's not about algebra. You're not learning algebra for algebra. You study what is hard because learning something new changes your brain. And this changed brain will help you greatly all through your life.
Yet balance all that knowing, with the ability to say calm in the unknowing.
This also changes your brain.
