And a subset of you might've wondered "wtf why hadn't there been any news on this important issue?"

So, there are a couple of reasons.

1) I'd been drinking when I came up with that idea, and it seemed kinda stupid in the cold and slightly hungover light of day

2) with the benefit of hindsight and sobriety, I think it's be far more beneficial to teach my cat a bit of Makaton instead.

I really love Kraken spiced rum but it's a bit expensive to buy regularly (I'm just a poor community worker) so as a treat, I bought a bottle of the Lidl's own brand one to try.

It's a bit sweet to drink neat, but I tried a bit mixed with some Guinness Foreign export, and that's an... interesting mix.

I think it's quite nice. Mixing with Guinness takes off more of the sweetness than something like coke would, and the maltiness works pretty well.

Pretty damn potent, though..

I never got round to watching the last season of The Walking Dead. About to remedy that. Unfortunately, it's been so long that I think I'll have to stay watching the previous season first as a recap. That's what I'm starting tonight

Had a lovely change at the youth/community centre I work at tonight. We've got a well-specced recording studio, 99% of the youngsters using it just want to rap. Tonight, we had a group in who played instruments - had to totally overhaul the equipment that was out but it was really refreshing to hear people play

Some interesting politics going on in my local park today. Noticed a squirrel, a crow and a magpie having what looked to be an argument.

The squirrel was going about it's business, the magpie and crow both seemed interested in what it might dig up, but the crow was keeping the magpie at bay. The magpie was kinda wary of both, but more so the crow - the squirrel wasn't paying the magpie much attention. Wish I had more time to watch how it played out, but I was heading into work, couldn't stay..

lol, I'm totally shitstirring, but I don't see any real consequences for not righteously stirring the pot - what's he going to do, block me? Ban me from his hellscape of a website?

Musk wants volunteers to let his engineers tinker with their brains.

Sounds to me like he doesn't have faith in the project, otherwise he'd volunteer himself.

I'm thinking, if enough people point this out, he'll either have to undergo the procedure himself or the project would tank as it became obvious the guy in charge a) didn't think it was safe, and b) viewed other people as disposable while keeping himself away from his own unsafe project
