Here's a question for those gamers who use #steam #valve.
When they introduced the whole sellable card thing, and you first agreed, was an average of 3p, or (currency conversion) 3c what you had in mind?
If not, how do you feel about it now that the saleable value has long settled in that region?
Do feel free to share, I don't know if there are more appropriate hashtags out there!
Bit of a long shot but does anyone know of any UK org's who help someone to get a mattress please?
I bought new one when I moved last year, having no idea house was rife with damp. Damp has been sorted but mattress is now mouldy and I've slept on the sofa for last 9 months.
It's difficult being ill as the sofa itself is not uncomfortable but it's only a two-seater and I loll over the edge and I would REALLY, REALLY like to be able to sleep in a bed!
Thank you.
Good news for them - the govt knows what to do to avoid it!

New series of Happy Valley started! Didn't know there was one planned but I just saw it on iPlayer, so that was a nice surprise π

Right, so instead of these sectors being disrupted due to strike action, they'll just be permanently short of workers because nobody wants to work in them. Dumbasses.

"During the last 4 weeks over 28 child protesters have been killed in Iran and hundreds have been imprisoned and many have been sent to psychiatric units for "Correction".
Iran signed the UN convention of childrenβs rights that it now violates.
Please sign this #petition, calling on the UN and UNICEF to recognise these violations as Crimes Against Humanity and to demand the immediate release of all childprotesters.

#Tate fanbois seem to think "what color is your Bugatti?" is some kind of pwn, then seem surprisingly unprepared for "same color as yours, why?" as a response
Reason I say it's a little different is it feels like I came across it less 'organically', being introduced via a TV show. Granted, the Morcheeba and Simon & Garfunkel one were marketing exercises also, but in a different way - they were used to create a particular atmosphere/ambience, whereas the Jidenna/Luke Cage thing felt more like a product placement. Out of all those stories, that's the one where I only really ended up liking the one track rather than getting into the artist generally.
Last one, which is more recent and a little different. I was watching Luke Cage and there was a nightclub scene with (as I remember) an act doing a warmup, or audition or something. Loved the song and, thankfully this was recent so it was easy to look up online, turned out to be Jidenna - Long Live the Chief

The 'least cool' band I got into story has to be the Simon & Garfunkel one, though. I was a teenager at the time, on holiday in Newquay, UK, and I was sitting in some restaurant. They stayed playing a bunch of what I later found out were Simon & Garfunkel songs. I asked my dad if he knew who it was, he told me, but damn, I was getting condescension vibes there.
Anyway, bought their greatest hits album shortly after.
