This is a civil and secure community. It’s better than Twitter ever was, even at the start. This is your neighborhood coffee house. That was the biker bar on the outskirts of town.

@joshesque if you expect to meet new people, have conversations with them, build relationships, yes it can replace Twitter. If you’re here to build follower lists and post for stats on likes and shares, no. It doesn’t work like that, there is no algorithm prioritising popular posts or posters, there’s no benefit to having huge followings, there are no adds or add revenues. As for how it works, if you’re familiar with tweetdeck, it’s a similar layout with more features and better security.

Basically 'Community Firehose' on the left is where all the posts come through, you can stop it if it goes too fast. Anyone you befriend goes through "My Friends" in the middle. 'Notifications' is where posts of yours that are liked go and also answers to your posts. That's basically it but there is a lot more to it. They like you to put hashtags on things like #Welcome etc. Hashtags go into separate column, click on a hashtag.
This place is MUCH better than Twatter.
