imagine you regularly go to your favorite ice cream shop for their amazing 7-layer sundaes. they start tinkering with the recipe but it's still good.
one day you show up & they hand you a bowl of just sprinkles.
"wtf is this?" you say.
"we decided to focus on selling the individual ingredients instead of whole sundaes. enjoy!" they say.
you try to warn the next customer but they call YOU the asshole because "sundaes are forever! support all the ingredients!"
this has been a BTS metaphor.
who are these people and how have they missed an entire generation whose lives have been made so miserable by our predecessors that we long for the sweet release of death? we don't contemplate death with dread or pretend it's not inevitable, we contemplate it with anticipation. to quote one of the highest choirs of angels in one of the best religious movies ever made: "and then this failed experiment called existence will cease to be."
this whole piece is so obnoxiously presumptuous. "you only get one life, live it to the fullest!" why? what difference does it make? the assumption that living = Doing Stuff just causes me more stress. tell me I have a year to live. if I go see the Grand Canyon, I'm still gonna die. if I don't go see the Grand Canyon, I'm still gonna die. and either way, I can't take those memories with me. I will plunge into nothingness regardless. if I die tomorrow? good. I've been waiting.
... so I usually listen to the Reddit post, a bit of their reaction, and then fast-forward through the rest of their rambling overwrought tangents (like how many times do you need to say "yes, this scenario was deranged, this happened to me once, it was deranged"?) and skip to the next Reddit post. When any YouTube video is approaching an hour long, I'm gonna do a lot of skipping bc who has that kind of time? Get to the point, sis, let's wrap it up!
the rest of the morning news is making me angry so let's focus on this. first I have to note how funny it is that the technophobic Alastor in Hazbin Hotel calls his rival "a clout-chasing mediocre video podcast."
I've already seen this phenomenon, namely Gag of the Millennial w/Roly & Luxeria, except at first I didn't even realize it was a podcast. I don't listen to podcasts & I found Gag to be a bit overly long-winded. Theirs is usually Reddit reactions...
“As renewable energy makes up a greater share of the grid, ERCOT said it has posed new challenges too, such as power availability that depends more on weather conditions. Clean energy developers, meanwhile, have accused ERCOT of discriminatory policy before, most recently for utility-scale battery storage.”
ERCOT hates Green Energy because it lowers electricity prices. Republicans hate this type of business model.
The problem is gas generators.
