"A Man on the Inside" is a delightful comedy-drama-mystery inside a retirement community. Ted Danson as the lead is fantastic. It's slow, sensitive, and engages in WORLDBUILDING.

Hard to keep track of the number of BILLIONAIRES or near billionaires Trump is appointing to his team/cabinet. Surely it will be a record shattering number. And Trump can’t show how he is relating to and working for the common MAGA man better than letting BILLIONAIRES make decisions as they all are SO generous with trickle down…👀

Looking at Nancy Mace and her ilk, it seems like there's a lot of Republicans who can't feel joy or happiness or anything. The only sensation close is when they deny someone else happiness.

People will build "AI" and ask it to solve the world's problems, but will work hard to raise their kids to be good people and then ignore their ideas.

The current economy is more easily understood when you realize there's a rush to replace workers with cheaper devices that will make everything more complicated and ruin the environment.

I'm taking my CERT training for community disaster response. The class I'm taking impressive. 90 minutes in and I've learned a ton for others and myself.

Marjorie Taylor Greene says if every member of Congress had to resign for doing what Matt Gaetz has been accused of, "Democrats would have a supermajority."

👉 MTG saying out loud what we already know to be true is infuriating as hell because we know not a damned thing will be done about it.

Kudos to writer Matt GERTZ who is going to get a reprieve from annoying texts, jokes, Toots, and posts.

In an alternative world, we're discussing a lot of competent but boring Kamala Harris appointees, and a bunch of click-addicted media hacks are considering resigning to "go fishing" while paying someone else to ghost-write their "autobiographies."

I get the impression if times get chaotic in the near future - which seems most likely - people will have to ask what they need and what they can do without.

The answers may shock some very wealthy people with some very toxic companies.

Beyond some interesting cereal history, this video also shows how the evolution of Tony the Tiger probably made his collision with the online furry community inevitable. youtube.com/watch?v=ukGnvUQZdu

I've started taking CERT disaster preparedness training so I can do more for my community. Going to say even an hour in and it's eye-opening.

Or who coordinates with NGOs trying to help without stepping on each other's toes?

Something humanity hasn't adjusted to is the cost of stupidity is much higher in our modern world.

A thousand years ago you mess up harvest, you and your family die. Simple.

Now you can vote for insane policies, accidentally destroy a piece of infrastructure due to a virus-infected USB you didn't check, or create a multilane pile-up because of your crappy car.

Dumbness can be amplified.

Does MTG realize she's essentially saying the Republican party is riddled with sex criminals?

"Independent Media" is a lie. Media needs funding, people to do it, resources, etc. - making NONE of it independent.

What we can do is have open, responsible, diverse media. Media where we know where the money comes from. Media that's not a giant behemoth or linked to a bunch of un-related businesses or in the pocket of a billionaire, or dependent on obscure mathematics of revenue.

A friend made a great observation on America having a national divorce. We should do it, plan it out, make it happen.

This is because if we do it, people will confront all the harsh realities of the country breaking up and be forced to ask very hard questions.

Which, ironically, would mean it would be less likely to happen.
