Have you ever experienced a dream that felt profoundly spiritual, as if it carried a deeper meaning or message? Spiritual dreams can often leave us pondering their significance long after we wake up. Some believe that these dreams are a way for the subconscious mind to communicate with us, offering insights, guidance, or even a glimpse into the divine.
@WhiteRose Short answer, yes.
As for the rest, when I have answers, I'll let you know.
I have had one dream which felt genuinely prophetic. It was weird, violent and yet somehow deeply encouraging. I shared it with my minister at the time and we prayed through it but unless it comes to pass in my lifetime, I doubt I'll ever know if it really was prophecy and what it really meant if it was.
@stueytheround Thank you for answering Stuey. I have had several spiritual dreams. I am not versed well on the Bible as I really do not read it however I did some research today and to my surprise several details that were in my dreams coincides with the information I found. I don't want to look like a crazy person however I thought I would ask others.
@WhiteRose The interpretation of dreams (with God's help) is littered throughout the Bible. Most notably, Joseph of "Coat of many colours" fame and Daniel advising King Nebuchadnezzar in Babylon.
The key, in the Biblical sense, is that it is God, not man, who gives the meaning of the dreams. Trying to interpret them without asking him is usually shown to be futile.
But that is *only* the Biblical perspective and there are as many others as there are dreamers.
@WhiteRose I have had one dream that seemed accurate to what came later.
@poemblaze I haven't had prophetic type dreams however my dreams are more of God using me as a messenger between him and man.
@WhiteRose You just defined "prophetic"!!
A prophet is simply one who hears God's word and obeys it. That's it.
Prophecy in the Biblical sense, isn't necessarily about predicting the future.
@poemblaze
@stueytheround ❤️ Thank you dear. As I said, I am not well versed in the Bible however I do have a personal relationship with God.
@stueytheround @WhiteRose Prophesy is "speaking God's word for the occasion" which may or may not involve prediction. #religion
@WhiteRose I don't think I've had spiritual dreams, exactly, but I have had "visitations," I believe. After my Mother died, she came to me three times in dreams.
Most recently, I've had a couple dreams that my father was in, but they didn't feel the same as those dreams about my mother. I just told him to go away and leave me alone.
The Edgar Cayce Association for Research and Enlightenment has many books on dreams, dreaming, and interpretations.
@GeezerWench I had one visitation by my great-grandmother when I was in my twenties. I haven't had a visitation-type dream since then.
@GeezerWench Thank you for the link my friend 🧡
Others view them as symbolic reflections of our inner thoughts and emotions. What are your thoughts on the significance of spiritual dreams? Do you believe they hold meaning, and if so, how do you interpret them?
