Others view them as symbolic reflections of our inner thoughts and emotions. What are your thoughts on the significance of spiritual dreams? Do you believe they hold meaning, and if so, how do you interpret them?
@stueytheround Thank you for answering Stuey. I have had several spiritual dreams. I am not versed well on the Bible as I really do not read it however I did some research today and to my surprise several details that were in my dreams coincides with the information I found. I don't want to look like a crazy person however I thought I would ask others.
@WhiteRose The interpretation of dreams (with God's help) is littered throughout the Bible. Most notably, Joseph of "Coat of many colours" fame and Daniel advising King Nebuchadnezzar in Babylon.
The key, in the Biblical sense, is that it is God, not man, who gives the meaning of the dreams. Trying to interpret them without asking him is usually shown to be futile.
But that is *only* the Biblical perspective and there are as many others as there are dreamers.
@WhiteRose Short answer, yes.
As for the rest, when I have answers, I'll let you know.
I have had one dream which felt genuinely prophetic. It was weird, violent and yet somehow deeply encouraging. I shared it with my minister at the time and we prayed through it but unless it comes to pass in my lifetime, I doubt I'll ever know if it really was prophecy and what it really meant if it was.
