The Good: He learned to go to the door when he wants to go outside.
The Okay: He thinks the yard is strictly for this……
@Kurtroedeger
He won't do his business in the yard. Even first thing in the morning, he'll hold it until we walk him.That's workable for now, but not ideal for winter. 🥶
@holon42
We're doing that, it just hasn't clicked for him yet.
It will. Don’t give up.
ah. around the perimeter, so maybe trigger his territorial marking urges?
somehow the yard must seem too much like the verboten areas.
maybe when you pick up his poop on your walks you could deposit one in the yard and show him.
he's a delicate sensitive soul🩷
I had a dog who was having this same issue... Finally, I peed in the yard while he was watching. That worked.
Of course, I had very high fences and no neighbors could see into that corner of the yard.
i was going to suggest that, but not knowing the landscape 🤣🤣🤣
@tyghebright @holon42
We might ask our neighbor to walk her dog in our yard.
that's a good idea. then the alien urine scent should get him responding in kind😂
@TomeReader
try putting a leash on him and walking him around the yard. give him permission.
