@th3j35t3r @MotherDucker Hah!
Thank you!
@th3j35t3r Again? Or more, realistically...STILL! Thanks, though. As you know, your efforts make this the welcoming place that it is and I think most here really appreciate it and you!👍
@th3j35t3r Very understandable, especially after that one night awhile back when you shared the "correspondence" you get. Hope you're squeezing in time for self-care. ❤️
@MotherDucker Paperwork.
@MotherDucker I work in tech support am am regularly praised for my calls even though I'd rather step in front of a bus than make a personal call.
@MotherDucker
Is it too Pollyanna of me to say that for things I don't like doing, I try to find the good in making my home/work a better place; try to find contentment in serving others?
It's how I feel.
@MelissaHDavis not Pollyanna at all. Because that's how I reconcile my own answer to the question.
I am really good at empathy... I work in inpatient oncology and often times I'm the only person in sight when a family member needs to step out of their lives ones room and fall to pieces. I'm REALLY GOOD at being a shoulder to cry on and offering emotional support... But I hate to be touched.
With great hugs comes great...anxiety
@MotherDucker
I understand. I find myself stepping out of my comfort zone frequently for the good of others, and do it willingly. I think living outside of our selves is existence on a higher plane.
With greater unselfishness comes greater reward.
@MotherDucker cleaning up other people’s messes. I sorted through three years of journal entries to resolve an audit finding caused by my predecessor. Yay me!
@MotherDucker managing narcissists
@MotherDucker my job (hahahaha) some days are tough but I am good at it.
There aren't many things I hate doing, but what things there are, I'm not any good at.
Plumbing.
I'm really REALLY good at finding shit. Information. That sock you lost somewhere in your basement.
Whatever.
I don't want to find everyone's shit, but I get asked because my friends *know*. 😂
