Been an exceptionally busy morning today. Not only having to do my own show, but also having to do traffic for all the other stations in the building as well as one of the local TV stations. So this is actually my first moment to catch my breath and grab another cup of coffee.

Yes, that is snow behind me. One inch, which has shut the entire city down because we are not used to snow.

My company put me up in the hotel across the street last night, which was nice. Alas, no else has been able to make it in this morning due to really bad road conditions. Snow is one thing, but black ice on the roads is another thing.

@GaryPoole
It's the ice part that people need to understand. Snow itself is not too bad. But a simple search and you can find numerous videos of people hitting black ice and wrecking. Please, everyone, be careful out there.

@GaryPoole

Was in two near-fatal car accidents on CO black ice.

It is deadly.

Don’t drive please

@publickovacs @GaryPoole

Black ice beats all vehicles including 4W & AW drive. Avoid at all costs.

@GaryPoole
I recall one time at an Army PAO, heavy snow on post prevented others from coming to work. I was able to walk, since I lived on Post.
The phone rang, and I was suddenly talking to the Pentagon!
I was an enlisted Army wife, photo journalist contractor. Heady stuff!
