I feel like we should normalise talking about taking a poo. I mean, it's something we all do, we can all relate to taking one, yet it's weird if we talk about it, no matter how amazing it was.

The one I just had was like the butt equivalent of running a half-marathon - hard work, needed a few tricks learnt over a lifetime to get done. Not enjoyable per se, but definitely left with the satisfaction of a tough job done well.

@66ALW99 You are not drinking enough fluids and you need more roughage in your diet, that's whole grains and pulses and plenty of fresh veg. Fruit is good too but you don't need as much.

Also, blended fruit or veg or, finely ground oats are not so good sources in terms of improving your gut health either. Go for coarsely rolled oats and just eat the fruit and veg instead of blending. 1/2

@66ALW99 Also, make yourself a sprouting jar and sprouts some mung beans (watch a tutorial about it if not sure). Eat them, bean skins and all. Someone once told me that the skins were the only things that could properly clean the bowels. Suffice to say, the conversation about what to have for dinner ended right there.

@MoreMeesThanMee It's not normally such a chore, I think today was just the culmination of a few days of u healthiness. I've been drinking plenty of fluids the last few days, but mostly the alcoholic sort. Couple that with a BIG Sunday dinner and then falling asleep for over 12 hours afterwards and my usual, uh, faecal routine was a bit disrupted.

I've never actually had mung beans but I've heard they're good in a bunch of ways. I'll have to give them a go sometime..

@MoreMeesThanMee I had a few with a Sunday roast, then polished off most of a bottle of baileys when I got home. I don't usually drink much OR have roast dinners so, combined with a general lack of sleep, I was out like a light by about 6pm. Woke around 4-ish today, and just dozed for another 2 hours. My routine just gets all kinds of messed up when I'm off work for any length of time!

@66ALW99 I have been trying to get my mits on a bottle of the vegan Baileys since it came out! I swear, every Christmas people panic buy it when the dairy one runs out! The gits! Probably tastes like whiskey and those little cartons of fake coffee cream! ☹️

@66ALW99 When I was in the Army my job was collecting pig poop and analyzing it for radioactive traces. Long story for another day. Pee and poop is the most natural thing to me. We all do it and may nature save the one who has issues with either.

Anyway, drink water, not pop, not coffee, not booze, water. Peppers, onions, olive oil, lay off the dead cow and cheese for a bit.

Did you know moose poop is used to make jewelry? Their turds look like chocolate Easter eggs.

You also just listed a while bunch of things I had in the last few days that I don't normally have much of, especially booze, cow and cheese, so you're spot on there!
