I don't really believe that communism, in any sense that is antithetical to or exclusive of capitalism, has ever existed; what's been seen in communist countries, shorn of rhetoric and propagand, to me just looks like state monopoly capitalism superimposed on unregulated black market capitalism.

It's an old thought, but I was thinking again, this evening, that the ONLY reason the cheetotoddler is even a candidate for the presidency is not because he genuinely wants to help America and her people, but rather, because he wants to rewrite the rules and keep his own crooked ass out of prison, for he knows that if he ever loses even one criminal trial, he will likely not be a free person again for a long time, if ever.

Was reading about a lady in Vietnam who scammed a lot of people through real estate ventures, paid officials to look the other way and they just sentenced her to death. Her comrades got long prison terms. No doubt they are making an example of her.

Most of the commenters were like “well that’s kind of harsh”.
