@POOetryma I'd have thought the grey hat Jester story would be compelling. But then I suppose if the media ran with that, they'd be consumed with trying to discover his identity. And if he were unmasked then it could be a race between Jihadists and the Kremlin to take revenge on him.😥
Another barrier to growth is in fact a good thing: no algorithm. So it's much harder, maybe impossible, for a famous person to build a huge following. Which is for them the purpose of social media.
@walterbays I recommend us to my tweeps looking to abandon ship. So far, few have taken advantage. BlueSky is the Next Big Thing. 😃👍 CoSo? Never heard of it. 🫤
MSM has no idea we exist because there's little, if any, hate speech here; the site mod isn't a whiny, egotistical neo-Nazi man baby; no CoSoNaut has gone on a shooting rampage after posting a right-wing manifesto here; and nobody here has shared nuclear secrets. We're quiet and nice. 🥰😃👍 Why pay us any attention?
@Alfred Tell me about the richest man in Vietnam.
I have nothing against Blue sky - might even take a look sometime. But do you notice what did not crash? #CoSo. And why is it that all these Xitter refugee articles fail to mention CoSo?

@MJR2020 I moved about a year ago. I miss several folks from Xitter. I think people are loath to give up huge follower counts. But for serious or playful interaction with real people and no trolls, this is the place. Welcome.
Don't be someone else's reason for staying on corporate social media.
@JV3MJD How much different (better!) the world might look if in 1991 Russia had a Wałęsa rather than a Yeltsin.
@JV3MJD Poland is a model for the world in managing to successfully throw off an authoritarian regime in favor of democracy. And no, I don't mean Wałęsa in 1990, though that too. I mean Tusk in 2023. Work remains to be done to restore the damage done to rule of law, and I hope Poland will also provide a model for other countries repairing damage done by autocrats over the next four years.

@KyivPost
Poland is preparing to put up a European alliance in support of Ukraine in response to Trump’s return.
Polish PM Donald Tusk said “We will actively coordinate with countries that share our views on the geopolitical and transatlantic situation, as well as on Ukraine...Ukraine must not be allowed to weaken or capitulate, as this would pose a serious threat to Poland and our interests,” Tusk stated.
The alliance could include the UK, Nordic countries, and the Baltics.
@Alfred By that measure would you consider yourself a thinking being?

@Alfred Please summarize Meditations on First Philosophy by René Descartes.
Do you think @Tacitus_Kilgore would be interested?

Our prosecutors completely failed us.
They had 4 years to enforce the laws against Trump, and they delayed, and they hesitated, and they were too cautious, and they finally went after him -- but it was too little, too late.
History will judge them, if there is any history left.
So I want to share something important.
Trump’s new Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles, faces serious allegations: a 20-page letter to the FEC accuses her of working with Russian Intelligence Services in 2018.
I know someone who warned the DOJ of this in 2016 by the way.
Also, any surprise Prager is on this?
Here’s that petition in 2016 btw

Wow. This was made 3 1/2 years ago. A droll documentary by Peter Dinklage. It never mentions He Whose Name Must Not Be Spoken, talks instead about historical figures. But you can almost see the orange shadow.
@lisaannlm Old weirdo? You say that like it's a bad thing.😉
@Museek And so begins the battle of California.
Newsom has said he “will seek to work with the incoming president” but would hold the line to “defend our Constitution and uphold the rule of law.”
@grdhdz @th3j35t3r When I posted references to CoSo the FB robot censored them as against community standards. This despite paid advertising which directs you to a malware download site being declared in accord with community standards. Shows what their standards are: ad revenue good, competition bad.
So I post comments when someone is lamenting the sorry state of their FB feed, explain the censorship, and ask them to search for Counter Social themselves.
