UPDATE on my son's plea deal.
Not great but not horrible
1 felony dropped (this was a stupid charge of gun w/ INTENT)
2 drug felony will be dropped upon completion of 18 mos drug court. He will have counselors and monitoring.
3. The possession of silencer is going to proceed. The prosecutor cannot guarantee no jail time (but at least it would be the local jail and not effing prison)
Obviously we are hoping for probation
1st offense Non violent felonies can be expunged after 5 yrs.

^^^ reminder. The homemade suppressor was made by the narcissist. He put it on my son's 22 rifle. Yes my knew this but he was drug addled. (No excuse) bur this case does have some extenuating circumstances.
Between us, (and my son disagrees with this) but I think he was grooming my son to be his "enforcer"
@gemswinc it was much messier 3 mos ago. now we are getting through it. We will manage. Even if he spends time in jail, he will manage
We are grateful he's still with us. The possibility of death was real that night. We had called cops the minute we realized the danger. The seargent called us back in 10 mins saying they had him (traffic stop)
I kept thanking him over &over while I spewed out the story of this guy & the bad places (Drugs, pill presses & fentanyl)
My son turned them in too
@ucantstop_me Glad you are getting through it. Hopefully w/ no jail time for son. And yes, alive is the best news. Sounds as though it could have been much worse. One of life's curve balls. I will follow the outcome. π
