I've seen several trans folks making posts and videos encouraging people to stay alive. Saying that alone is enough.

And it makes me wonder how many have already chosen otherwise.

Seeing similar sentiments among my disabled friends, who are hurt and angry because they know they'll lose medical support and it will shorten their lives.

To my view, I benefit from being surrounded by people who are safe, cared for, & set up to do their best. It makes *my* world better when everyone benefits.

My world is better when the people in it all read and are well-educated. When they have the energy and resources to innovate and research--and their contributions are taken seriously.

My world is better when fewer people are starving, homeless, disconnected from society. Crime goes down. It costs less money.

I'm selfish that way.

I mentioned on Tuesday that I'd bought a bottle of The Pathfinder NA spirit.

The Pathfinder is a hemp-based beverage, but it has all of the psychoactive agents stripped out. It will NOT get you high or even relaxed.

Doesn't matter if he remains in office for only four more years--if he lives that long.

He'll tear a lot down, and further shift the Supreme Court to the right.

Even if the next election happens and is fair and a democrat is elected--it'll take a generation to begin to repair the damage.

Yes. I know many Canadians who are struggling because of the ASTRONOMIC cost of housing.

There are places I would consider moving, if able, but Canada's not one.

(Also, it's American arrogance to just assume we can move to a country of our choosing without knowing if we meet the requirements.)

I only noticed because I'm renewing mine. I hoped to get the application done last week, but I need to get compliant photos taken. (Doing that tomorrow.)
And literally, from Monday to Wednesday, the processing times doubled.
