Yup. You'd think she'd appreciate being allowed to vote.
Just realized it's one week until my birthday and the start of my long vacation. (I'll be off from 10/24 and returning 11/4.)
*squee*
I plan to do the following with my time off:
Plan a trip to Tacoma over the new year.
Clean out stuff I won't take when I move in May.
Finish outlining my novel.
Finish and revise a few short stories, and publish them on Campfire.
oh! And VOTE.

UK chain Pho Restaurant has publicly responded to backlash after TikTok users discovered that the white-founded business has trademarked the common Vietnamese word "pho."

Shitty of them to try it. Worse of the government for allowing it.
I'm not so much interested in whether they liked it or not, as in what they can tell me about the mood, tone, and style without giving too much away about the content.
In this context, I only care because it tells me more about the book (or movie, or game)... If they disliked it because there was too much magical realism, for example, then I will probably enjoy it.
Some of the book reviewers I like most on YouTube are people I have significantly different taste from.
But, while they're open about their like or dislike of a book, they are also good about discussing it more generally, and giving reasons they disliked (or liked) it. That gives me the information I need to decide whether I'm likely to enjoy it.
And they don't deride people who have different taste. We need more of that in discussions of media in general.
Chonky has been more sleepy lately. Harder to wake in the morning, groggy after a cat nap. Just him getting older. But it leads to some funny squished faces.
(Bonus of Anna because she got jealous of me focusing on Chonkster.)

Lots of aspiring screenwriters have tried putting a screenplay in a pizza delivery. It's a great way to not only be sure that script isn't read, but to be remembered as a knob no one wants to work with.
Companies have to follow policies that make sure they treat every resume (or script) the same way so they're not accused of bias.
Even Pizza Hut probably wouldn't hire someone using this trick.
Oh, that's a lovely double plus dose of dystopia
😲 😆

Half a big can of whole tomatoes and their juice, crushed by hand. 4 cups water, a tablespoon not-chicken bullion, chile powder, cumin, Mexican oregano.
