By the way, if I ever spout "some hippie bullshit" and you're like, "eeeew anger has a purpose", I have a photo of the scars from biting the inside of my cheeks and could prob demonstrate the loss of a few IQ points due to insomnia from anger.

Sigh. Right hand on my heart. Sending energy to Joe. "May you be happy. May you be safe. May you be free from suffering. May you be free of the causes of suffering."

Cool, last year's Redbubble profits managed to just be enough to buy me a beer, lol.

sim city artist style lol.

Slowly building myself a neighborhood...

Fuck, "Persephone As Broken Light" here combined with research has inspired a series of botanical illustrations, but I'm supposed to go work on like, 3 writing projects and job hunt.

That's all $5 off for CoSo, and here's your disclaimer of you better not take me seriously.

I intended to stop drawing for a bit and write up a page promoting my tarot readings by now, but I have been kidnapped by the myth of Persephone and am switching back and forth between researching and skull art. So, if you want a free one card reading, that's the CoSo special, or a 3 card reading (past, present, future) for $5, or an elemental reading for $10, DM me.

"I SWEAR to you, sweetheart, I have NEVER turned myself into a swan!"
"You can fuck off and go sleep in HADES. And take your damned thunderbolts WITH you."

Damn. I was going to start working on my coloring book again next year (educates about carnivorous plants, just a touch morbid for funsies). But I also have the tarot book, and I had already planned for there to be four short stories for the pentacles court cards, with the page as Persephone, the queen as Demeter, and the king as Hades. This would be best done after all this myth research. Coloring book still has to wait.

I wonder what the world would be like if our classical myths weren't so full of gods that can't control their own dicks. Lookin' at you, Zeus.

Goodnight, everyone. I leave you with the comment I pinned on today's blog post.

We live in a society where a network called "The History Channel" can run a 2-hour prime-time special on Zombies.

Thought I would share my Persephone inspired bracelet. Beads resembling seeds of grain and pomegranate, as well as green leaves and little skulls.

Have fun in your deep dive!

So, after all my babble about Persephone and Hades lately, I've been relying on my existing knowledge of the seasonal myth. But I started contemplating Persephone when I came home from the hospital last year, and there's been a lot of me poking fun at my own tendencies toward bad relationships through her, then the whole text fight thing where I drew Persephone, now she's exploded all over my art... So. I'm off to do an in depth dive of the myth. Might as well lean into the crazy.
