It's wild how reading the news and seeing the e. coli stuff is making me crave McDonald's.

@tippitiwichet Best thing I have found is Ground News, which acts as a hub for all the sources and rates them according to bias. At least you know what you are getting. There is a subscription but you can also use it for free.

Okay, so I'm poor and only do one news subscription. Since the Post ain't it anymore, what's the best source for balanced reporting? Like, actually balanced, not "Nazis should have free speech too". I need something that will help me talk to people in a red state about current events without pissing them off. Does that exist anymore?

I am actually a little happy Bezos decided to be a dick today, because when I start trying to convince people in my (red) area to critically think their news sources, I can now say I get my news from a source that refused to endorse Harris. I can now really walk them through the steps of "consider your source" combined with "everyone has a bias".

Oh! Here's a little Halloween knowledge for you non-pagans. Now, I've seen nothing to confirm this in print, but witches who are familiar with the craft's use of symbols to hide the proper way to do certain rituals, the old "they rode broomsticks anointed with hallucinogenic ointments while naked and it made them feel like they were flying".... Sex magic. I'm not the only witch I know who has thought that.

I personally will decide that McDonald's e. coli outbreak is directly tied to Trump's political stunt.

@tippitiwichet
Zen but with a bat.
Upgraded to the modern world.
It's a 9 mm.

Cool, I misspelled the field I have a bachelor's in and only now noticed. Glad it's just the sketch, lol.

A Halloween flashback: So my kid wanted to go as Bender … few things excites a 4th grader as permission to say “kiss my shiny metal ass”.

The cops who treat kids like this all say, "My dad whooped me when I was disrespectful, and I turned out just fine."

It's beginning to look a lot like Samhain
Everywhere you go
There are autumn leaves in your hair
Spiderwebs everywhere
And Jack O'Lanterns lined up in a row
It's beginning to look a lot like Samhain
Soon the veil will part
Let the Ancestors know you care
And their wisdom will be there
Right within your heart. 🙂
