A yellow jacket nest once showed up on my balcony and the maintenance guy tried to use some pesticide on them. It only pissed them off. He also knocked their nest down onto the sidewalk below and that only pissed them off more. They came at the sliding glass door like a barrage. I finally got rid of them a few days later with a spray bottle of dawn soap and water. They didn’t like that either, they floated around and gave me the stink eye but they never returned.

Dang it, I tried to make waffles for the birds (a trick to get them to eat their pelleted food for a more balanced diet), and they fell apart but Sunny is nibbling them and going back for more. Now I have visions of photo shoots with little tiny pancakes in a little dollhouse and I don't have time for that.

Just finished making our first batch of dog food that uses the fairy dust powder, Joe, who is really picky and often makes sure Bear eats only tasty food, tasted it and started immediately wanting to make a meatloaf that he can share with the dogs. I pointed out we could dry that meatloaf into dog treats. Now he wants to take me produce shopping so we can make a ton of veggie powders to experiment with. This is fun.

This is amazing. I was stunned to find out there was a show, The Ray Bradbury Theater, that I'd never heard of and figured I should have. Now I'm seeing a young Jeff Goldblum, Drew Barrymore, William Shatner, star after star and I'm only a few episodes in. HOW have I never heard of this? I love Bradbury, I have friends who love Bradbury, I had professors talk about him, like were we all just too snobby "I prefer books over television" or what?
